Minex Reserves Steps for Mining Engineer

In-Pit Reserves

 

  1. Create Reserves data base: File > New > Reserves.dbl

 

  1. Edit codes / Layers: OP ReservesDB > Initalize > Edit Codes / Layers

 

  1. Change Code Information to suit project coal / waste
  2. Select Seams
  3. Update Code Info
  4. Validate Layers
  5. OK

 

  1. Add Pit / Dump (Reserves Pit not designed pit): OP ReservesDB > Initalize > Add Pit/Dump
    1. Layers File: Select layer file

 

  1. Add quality: OP ReservesDB > Initalize > Add Quality Variable
    1. Variable
    2. Grid Suffix
    3. Default – Coal
    4. Default – Waste
    5. OK

 

  1. Build Reserves: OP ReservesDB > Build > Generate Reserves
    1. Reserves DB Pit/Dump (Reserves pit)
    2. Specify Geometry Pit/Dump (Designed Pit)
    3. Structure DD Name (Merge Model)
    4. Bench DD name (Bench Grid Folder)
    5. Top Grid (Topography layer)
    6. Base Grid (Seam floor)
    7. Weathering Grid
    8. Auto Range
    9. OK

 

  1. Display: OP ReservesDB > Display > Reserves 3D Display

 

 

ROM Reserves

 

  START WITH IN-PIT RESERVES AND CREATE COPY OF RESERVES.DBL AT EACH STEP AND NAME

 

  1. Join Layers: OP ReservesDB > Edit > Waste Merge Layers
    1. Layer Operation > Join
    2. Merge Waste Settings > Combine Adjacent > Coal
    3. Select: Target Top Layer
    4. OK
    5. Layer Operation > Join
    6. Merge Waste Settings > Combine Adjacent > Coal
    7. OK

 

  1. Waste: OP ReservesDB > Edit > Waste Merge Layers
    1. Layer Operation > Waste
    2. OK

 

SQL

OP ReservesDB > Initalize > Add Quality Variable

Variable: FLAG

Coal = 1

Waste = 2

OK

 

Right Click on SQL file (002A) > Edit > Combine SQL (Green Button)

 

  1. Run SQL: OP ReservesDB > Edit > Run SQL
    1. Select SQL File (SQL 002A)
    2. Run SQL: Stratigraphy Down

 

  1. Run SQL: OP ReservesDB > Edit > Run SQL
    1. Select SQL File (SQL 002B)
    2. Run SQL: Stratigraphy Up

 

  1. OP ReservesDB > Edit > Waste / Merge Layers
    1. Layer Operation = Join
    2. Combine Adjacent = Mask Flag
    3. Mask Variable = FLAG
    4. Mask Value = 1 (Coal)
    5. OK

 

  1. Waste Coal: OP ReservesDB > Edit > Waste / Merge Layers
    1. Layer Operation = Waste
    2. Set min mining thickness

 

  1. Seam Dilution: OP ReservesDB > Edit > Seam Dilution
    1. Set Loss for seams
    2. Quality
    3. Output
    4. Set Dilution for seams
    5. Quality
    6. Output

 

  1. Tidy- up: OP ReservesDB > Edit > Waste / Merge Layers
    1. Layer Operation = Tidy Up
    2. Resolve Waste/Coal Names
    3. Delete Layer if Waste

 

  1. Reset Layer Exposure: OP ReservesDB > Edit > Reset Layer Exposures
